Monthly Newsletter

Please note that due to the current situation with the Coronavirus, we have had to cancel the rest of our programmes throughout March. Instead the engagement team have been working hard to provide alternative ideas that can be completed in rooms for residents or at home for anyone else wanting to get involved!

Over the next few months we will be rolling out YPASS programs and other activities. This is a rough plan for the March itinerary but please check the message boards, Facebook or the blog to see start dates, exact times and any extra activities we may be running. If you’re going to join a programme add yourself to the Facebook event to see specific details, including any changes to times and dates.

We want to hear your ideas! Please come to us with any ideas you have for other activities, fundraising ideas, cooking ideas etc.

YPASS Programme Guide

If you have any questions about a programme please come talk to us, we can work with you on putting together a plan of which programmes will suit you. We will also be running a rewards system that includes engaging with YPASS programmes.

New blog

Something that we are all very excited about is our new YMCA Basingstoke Blog. This will not only be a good information page to let everyone see who we are and what we do but also a real community project. We want everyone to get involved, whether that is writing an article for us, sending us your recipes for the food section or any other ideas you have. Send us a message or come have a chat with us if you’re interested in getting involved and keep an eye out of Facebook for when we make the blog live.

Value For Money Survey

Don’t forget to fill out the Value for Money Survey to let us know what you like, what you don’t and what you think we could be doing better. It’s one of the ways you can have your say and make some positive changes around here… also prizes..

New Youth Engagement Co-ordinators

We have both really enjoyed our first few weeks here and it has been a pleasure to get to know some of you. We look forward to meeting everyone else as the programmes get started and we have more going on and we hope that we can become a useful part of the team here. Shona and Cara
